All about us
The Oakland Book Club is an extension of the Oakland Center for the Arts, whose mission it is to help artistic interests thrive in the Youngstown area.
We’re a member-driven club, and our book selections are chosen by members, who also help lead the discussions. Any genre of book is welcome, and we try to keep our selections diverse and interesting. We conduct our meetings at locally-owned restaurants or in the art gallery of our Boardman St. theater. We often collaborate with the Youngstown Readers Series, enabling our members to meet the authors of the books we’re reading.
